Art Mini-Grant Application

Grant Purpose and Criteria

The Lancaster Education Foundation (LEF) has set aside $15,000 to support the infusion of art in Lancaster School District classrooms. Grants are available to individual teachers or groups of teachers. A mini-grant application form must be submitted electronically to the CIA Department by January 24, 2014 by 4:00P.M. in order to be considered for grant. Applicants will be selected and notified no later than January 31, 2014.

The purpose of this grant is to support the implementation of Lancaster School District’s Common Core inter-disciplinary units by integrating the arts to foster student learning. The grant will supply funds for classroom art supplies to create student artwork related to our district’s Unit 4 Enduring Understanding. Student artwork will be exhibited at individual school site art nights and selected artwork will be displayed at our districts community event (CREATE Festival) on Lancaster Blvd. on May 15, 2014.

If awarded grant, participants must:

  • Submit materials list to site for purchasing supplies
  • Complete the project for site selection (date is site specific)
  • Site selected artwork must be ready for pick-up by May 1, 2014.
